4th Pandayang Lino Brocka Festival Opening at UP Film Center Day 3

Third day of the 4th Pandayang Lino Brocka festival opening. In the morning, a seminar-workshop on script writing was held with Roy Iglesias as the speaker. In the afternoon, Prof. Patrick Campos of the UP Film Institute shared his insights during the forum “Doing Away with Poverty Porn Filmmaking”. Lino Brocka’s film Orapronobis was screened in the evening after the brief awarding ceremonies.

4th Pandayang Lino Brocka Festival Opening at UP Film Center Day 2

Second day of the opening of the 4th Pandayang Lino Brocka Political Film and New Media Festival at the UP Film Center. In the morning, a seminar-workshop on visual storytelling was held with independent filmmaker Sigfreid Barros-Sanchez as the resource speaker. In the evening, the festival, together with Akap Bata Partylist paid tribute to Dolphy by screening a Lino Brocka classic, Ang Tatay Kong Nanay, where Dolphy was the lead actor.

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) leg of the 3rd Pandayang Lino Brocka last September 1-2, 2011 was a huge success  The 2-day festival was well attended by students of PUP coming from different colleges. The PUP leg was made possible with the help of the PUP Administration, PUP Film Center and PUP Film Society.
