FILMMAKER
JL BURGOS is an independent filmmaker/visual artist based in the Philippines.
A fierce and staunch advocate of human rights, Burgos unfortunately lost a brother to state terrorism. His brother Jonas Burgos, a farmer/activist, was taken by force and made to disappear in broad daylight on the 28th April 2007. Burgos now channels his creativity to artworks that keep the memories of the disappeared alive in the hopes of encouraging people to join in search for justice.
